+ Step 1: Align with Legacy’s funding priorities.
BHHS Legacy Foundation awards grants to programs that fit the Foundation’s mission and align with our funding priorities. Click here to review the Foundation’s funding priorities to determine whether your proposed program aligns with the Foundation’s focus.
+ Step 2: Review Legacy’s past grant awards.
Click here to review the Foundation’s previously funded organizations, projects, and programs to determine whether your organization and proposed program are appropriate for a funding request.
+ Step 3: Discuss your proposal with a Legacy vice president.
Before submitting a request for funding, discuss your proposal with a Foundation vice president. As our Foundation doesn’t have typical application deadlines, our vice presidents of program development will provide guidance and feedback regarding the appropriateness of your request, whether a grant is likely for your cause, and at what stage of your project, program, or organization funding might occur. For programs serving the Phoenix region, contact Mary Thomson (mthomson@bhhslegacy.org). For programs serving the Tri-State region, which includes Greater Bullhead City, AZ; Laughlin, NV; and Needles, CA, contact Teri Tomlinson (ttomlinson@bhhslegacy.org).
+ Step 4: Use Legacy’s online system to submit a brief Letter of Inquiry.
When a Foundation vice president requests that you submit a Letter of Inquiry related to your proposed program, the Foundation will email you a link to the Letter of Inquiry through its online application system.
+ Step 5: Use Legacy’s online system to submit a full application.
If the Foundation decides to invite your organization to submit a full grant application, you will receive a detailed email with a link to the application form in the Foundation’s online system. Once you submit an application, the Foundation’s review may take up to six weeks.
