FORT MOHAVE — Students are safer this week as teachers and staff members across five schools become certified in first aid, CPR and automated external defibrillator devices.
“Especially for schools, as we have kids here every day, it’s a way to keep everyone safer,” said Tonnie Smith, Young Scholar’s Academy director, who attended the class held in the YSA gymnasium to renew her first aid certification and learn how to use an AED.
